- With temperatures remaining persistently high, demand in June fell by 6.9% relative to May. Despite a rise in renewables generation, thermal share of total production remained at 45%, as nuclear production fell.
- Total monthly gross profits increased by £107m compared to May, due to lower fuel prices and scarcity events such as the tripping of West Burton B units that tightened capacity margins and increased top percentile of prices.
- Total gross profits for wind assets rose by 30% from May to June, driven by a rise in wind capture price of £1.5/MWh and load factors of 6 percentage points.
